Established in 2005, the Work at
Height Safety Association (WAHSA) represents the interests of
manufacturers, assemblers, installers, distributors and end users of
equipment used for work at height and rescue. To qualify for full
membership, companies must be manufacturers and control the entire
production process from raw material through to testing and certification.
WAHSA sets benchmark standards for the manufacture
and subsequent use of members’ products and takes a lead roll in promoting
best practice and developing codes of practice for the use and
installation of such equipment. Its mission is to educate and inform
people at all levels of the supply chain to ensure that fall protection
equipment is selected and used in a competent and professional manner.
It also produces a complete range of technical guidance
and is a recognised provider of much valued knowledge and information
